...the yardstick in the 4m-Class. More than 20 years of on-going development.
Probably the most popular model glider in its class, and not without good reason. The Alpina is so manoeuvrable that you could be forgiven for thinking it was a much smaller model. This glider can be flown from relatively small slopes and offers exciting potential for aerobatics.
Now the scope of applications for this classic model aircraft has been extended yet again by the introduction of two new versions. The Carbon Master Edition has been built to withstand the most demanding flying conditions – such as those found in the Alps while the new Carbon Thermic Edition, with an effective weight reduction of some 500g offers enhanced thermal characteristics. Both versions incorporate camber changing flaps which considerably extend the flight envelope. Spot landings are made simple by the addition of air-brakes in the case of the Carbon Master Edition, while the Carbon Thermic Edition needs only ailerons and flaps deployed as butterfly.
The Alpina 4001 PRO is so manoeuvrable that you could be forgiven for thinking it was a much smaller model. As a result this glider can be flown from relatively small slopes and offers exciting potential for aerobatics. The use of camber-changing flaps expands the model's flight envelope considerably. The model exhibits beautifully balanced handling characteristics on aero-tow as well as on the winch.
