Product Description
This scale beauty is derived from the mastery of Alexander Schleicher - designed to meet the demands of the most discerning pilots in the FAI-18m-class.
The fantastic success of the full size ASG29 with 100 aircraft sold in just 2 ½ years and its numerous sporting achievements has persuaded us that this very special aircraft deserves a place in our range of scale models. Our design team embraced the Schleicher dream and have produced a fine new flagship model incorporating numerous outstanding new features.
- Four part wing in full-carbon technology for ultimate stiffness and security while maintaining ease of transport and handling.
- Self sealing elastic flaps on all control surfaces – now considered mandatory in a quality Contest Line product.
- Pure white GRP fuselage – purpose built in our own factory incorporating carefully integrated Carbon reinforcement, particularly in the area of fuselage openings and optional engine pylon mounting.
- New purpose built composite Carbon wing joining system for ultimate performance and security over the entire flight envelope.
This same no compromise approach to the design also extends to embrace a self-launching / turbo option.

The ASG 29 is a large glider of superlatives. Thanks to the design/rigidity selected for the wings, the model can be used both for relaxed thermal flying as well as for dyamic gliding on high alpine slopes. The precise fit of the laser-cut formers and the milled fuselage greatly facilitate installation of the retractable undercarriage. The package includes the precisely machined closing flaps of the retractable undercarriage and the cockpit canopy.
