The Bofors 40 mm gun is standard equipment for air - sea combat on many ships of the German Federal Navy, including the WIESEL fast torpedo boat. The model gun is drawn up to 1 : 40 scale, and is supplied completely assembled and painted. The mount and other parts are made of plastic, whereas the gun barrel is a machined brass item, and the small, delicate parts are also made of metal. The observer cannot fail to beimpressed by the fine detailing, and in particular the filigree implementation of many details plus the superb standard of painting. Even the helmets of the gun crew are present and painted in appropriate colours.
