Product information

The steam engine is suitable for powering ship models of the paddler type, as well as those
driven by marine propellers. In the latter case two gear wheels and a shaft will be required additionally, which are not included in the kit proper. The various assembly groups of the steam engine have to be assembled and bolted together, respectively, as per instructions.
All parts come soldered where necessary. The boiler is heated with butane gas. Gas con- sumption approx. 20 g for an engine run of approx. 25 minutes.

The kit contains

A 320 cm³ brass boiler of 55 mm diam., length 135 mm, with inspection glass showing water level. Boiler house with two gangways, spring-loaded safety valve, plastic tube serving to join the steam piping from boiler to aggregate, brass gas tank with regulator valve and a standard EURO fill-up valve. Two stationary double-acting brass cylin- ders, 50 mm diam. flywheel, self-starting in either direction. Drive shaft diameter 4 mm. Steam-jet oiler fully reversible running forward or backward, with infinitely variable speed control. Hook-up to R/C control via reversing handle.
