You can see the droop of the shaft which produces the curve. The bulkhead in it's place supporting the rear
portion. Here I again modified the fin as I want to be scale AND removable for transport. I added a spruce
insert and full length spar along with bulkhead to accept my attachments. I will have full pics on the fin attachments
when I build the strut.

I now can glue the halves together using thin CA glue which works best. I capped the end of the fin with scrap
plastic to look more scale....

OnOnce sanded smooth the seams shows a great fit! Here is the strut support for the fin strut which is cross bolted
through the fin with counter sunk head underneath which has been filled. Very stout!

I now have the fin ready to mount and the strut is next... Here I use some left over carbon pushrod, some 1/8
dia. brass tube and some 1/8 inner dia. eyelets. I push the tube through the eye, solder it, then cut it down.
This is then soldered to a 1 inch piece of sanded brass tube, same diameter, then push it into the carbon tube
and use thin CA to glue them together. Very light and super strong!

I pinch the end with sandpaper while turning it under running water to taper the rod. Here you can see the
dihedral into the fin.

I wanted extra bracing on the fin strut so I made this removable
junction which ties both sides together...

This is how far we are for now...
