Blind nuts are sanded to accept glue. Then a sacrificial plate is made to tighten them
into final position. They are tacked with epoxy to hold them in place.

                                     ..     ....
Red locktite 271 is used to join plugs into drive shaft... boom is temporaily taped in place.

Next I check the fit of the drvie shaft bulkheads. Bearings are pressed into their holders.

                                      ...     ...
Make up some wood rings  about 1/2 inch in diaameter bigger than the hole in the
bulkheads. Then insert drive shaft with these rings to check alingment. With the drive shaft
in all the way up front , I measure the distance from the gear case flange to the boom holder
flange and add  2 more mm to that measurement, the it is cut. I like that extra 1mm with
articulated joints. claw couplings use 1 mm gap, not used here.

High speed cut-off wheel is used to trim drive shaft. See how the rings will "float" into
final position. they are tacked into palce with c/a upon final assembly then epoxied.
