Welcome again to another On-line support build-up, this time we are building the popular Bolklow Bo-105CBS.
This build-up will go over some of the major points that one will encounter during construction. These pages are
meant to augment, not replace the original instruction manual. We are using the using the the newer CA glue method
this time with epoxies only used to prep the wood for paint and fuel proofing... We will get in to that as we go.
Please feel free to e-mail us or call with any questions during your construction period. This model will built using Uni-Expert mechanics with O.S. .61 WC motor.

Here is the kit and most of related components, mechanics, special exhaust system, angle gear box and
optional GRP finset. The skids have been pre prepared and are quite easy to assemble, so we will start from
that point on.Of course the first step is sand the entire fuselage with 100 grit on the inside where ever the wood
may contact the glass.Wash out with soap and water and let dry completely.

Here we have the wire drive angle gear box and GRP finsetand tailcap. The wire drive runs truest as it doesn't have
to bang around constantly to find perfect center. The wire drive is set on a gentle curve to eliminate all vibration
possibilities.

Ok, here we have rear bulkhead dry fitted along with front bulkhead. Once we make sure everything lines up
with the landing gear as per instructions we can go ahead and glue the front bulkhead in place, leaving the rear
loose for now.

You MUST pay special attention to the orientaion of the wood parts. The mechs are set off to the right side
of the fuselage, looking from rear, in order to allow for a left hand tilt in the mainshaft...meaning, the shaft
is angled forward slightly and to one side, not straight up and down! This allows the BO-105 , just like the
fullsize counterpart to hover LEVEL! Notice the right side is a bit shorter on the lower mech bulkheads?

I added a tiny relief to allow this plate to sit level , due to the skids touching it slightly on one side, and thus
not allowing the rear mech bulkhead to sit all the way down onto the glass. Now it does , and while doing this
I soaked the part with this CA glue to fuel proof it. The rest of the parts will be coated with thinned epoxy as
a sealer for paint.

After the cowl fit is checked, and all is good, we then glue in the rest of the wood. Pull the mechs out and you
can see how the they tilt every so slightly. Notice the mainshaft tilt here and how it exits in the center of the hole.Page 1
