A small slot helps clear the tail linkage. The tail tilt is little more noticeable here.
The carbon rods have to be tapered and trimmed to accommodate the fins without distorting them.

The horizontal stabs are glued to rods with thick CA, and then the vertical stabs are measured and cut for the
tabs on the horz. fins. I later follow along the outside with epoxy and micro balloon filler to form and high
strength fillet.
Here we trim the exhaust stacks and prime for paint. They will glued in after paint and will "float" in their
holes.![]()
Yes we are close to completion! the rear cover is GRP and must be final fit as well as cooling slots
cut through. The tuned muffler pipe hole must be fitted and a few other items, windows fine tuned ,
tailskid built ,and holes for light system (which can be installed anytime before paint) ,etc...
The outer skin details will also be added to some degree. This model belongs to a customer, so
he will determine the final details and paint scheme choice. Pick something good Tommy!

Scale skid covers simulate the full brakets. Bolts can also be added for even more realisim. This is what
it looks like when it is all done. Fuel proofing can be done with thinned epoxy followed by choice of automotive
paint if desired. Carbon push rod and driveshaft can be seen here.

here as well to some degree. I will be adding the skid step plates which I fabricated to the skids... Unpainted
finished pics coming soon!
