The upper bulkhead is dry fit, checked, and finally glued into place making sure not to stress the body out of
shape. Here you can see that one side of the shroud will come as close as 1 mm from the cowl, this is what
we want! The mechs are fitted high enough to reach the drive shaft tunnel with gentle curve on the drive shaft
to run true.

When fitted the upper cowl piece, make sure you include the windshield in this. Drill out the screw holes with a
1.5 mm bit, remove the cowl , open up the holes to 2.2 mm in the body and add wood pieces underneath the
glass to accept the self tappers, or blind nuts.

This step is optional. I left a small web behind cooling hole to keep the strength in the cowl. I will add some
reinforcments underneath taking care not to fowl the fit.

The 40 degree gear box is prepped by installing one set lightly on the main drive shaft, the short shaft is installed
for good onto the gear with flat ground into it to accept the set screw. The main shaft can be slide tightly into
final postion only after you mount the box into the tail and check the gap to the coupler on the mechs.

Once you have the this gap, 1-2 mm , un bolt the box and carefull slide it all out, marking where the main -
driveshaft is on the box. Pull it, grind a flat into it, and install it tightening the flat side first, then the other side.
Once this is done, fill the box with grease, bolt together and then prepare the channel as per manual.
It should look like this when you are done.

The shorter part of the shaft will be slightly long, but that we take of later. The shaft must exit in a non-central
postition. Once all is good, we will wick some slow cure epoxy into the channel to harden and encapsulate
the teflon tube since glue wont stick to it very well.
