Front landing mirror added to nose. I use alu tube with brass solid core so I can
expose the alu where I want with an exacto blade and solder on the brass pieces.
All hand made with a simple dremel cut-off wheel and soldering iron. The mirror
itself is an old Robbe piece. It can be completely un-bolted using the .080 allen -
button head fasteners. All piece disassemble from each other. The brass ends are
1/8' dia brass tube slotted and drilled to 1/16" holes. The brakets for same are drilled
to .060 to accept threads, nuts will finish it all off after paint. A remote cable made
from music wire will allow the mirror to move from inside! Electric heater lines added
after paint using phone wire and shrink sleeve. Here are some more shots...

I use a compass scribe and tape to mark and measure the drill points for rivets. Kavan rivets used.
Vario's are too large! Approx 1000 so far with a total of maybe 1600 or more to finish. No, it does not weaken
the structure. This glass is thick and the windows make it all good once installed. Carbon webs added only in
corners for extra umph, but only after I melt all the back sides of rivets with soldering iron.

I added lower rivets and hatch panel to bottom. Also I wanted the stock creases as per fullsize,
so they were cut in using a dremel wheel in my hand and tape as a guide. Slowly scracthing the line in.
