The front bracket is carfull fitted to fuse contour
and then drilled while clamped, checked, tacked in place, then everything
lifted out for final glue-up. I also used some
very light cloth here, .75 oz. both sides with thin CA.
Ok, we are in! Next task is fit the cowl
to the exhaust once I am sure it is where it should be...

Round off trimmed brackets, back up glass underneath with
some 1/8" ply scrap.

Fuel tank mount:
From the front reference line measure 100 mm
forward. Drill a 7.5 mm hole and back up underneath with some scrap ply.
JB weld or epoxy the metal nut to the wood after
it has sanded for good grip. Align the screw in the center of the cap if
possible.
