...
We begin with the retract set... We lay out the parts in a dish as not to loose any small parts and then identify the wood
pieces needed to complete each side...(the wood part on the left is the inboard side closest to the mechs). We then
sand each bushing lightly with 220 grit paper and affix in the proper order to the wood with some thick CA.
Go here for glue recomendation and tips. Then I install the threaded rod so equal halfs protrude the main gear strut and
follow with 4 mm jam nut, no locktite is used here as you will see why below.

...
Face the slotted end of the stud inward so if you ever need remove strut for any reason it will be a simple matter. Press
hard on the collar while tightening to maintain a snug fit.

...
This is the correct orientation of the parts .I subbed Robart Wheels for the stock units. A timy drop of green locktite on
the alu collars to the shafts makes sure the collar stays put without loosening up over time. (overkill). The front mains are
simple to assemble and the castor tensioner is already made for you.

...
Sand the nuts a bit for glue adhesion then follow with some thick CA or epoxy to secure them place. The finished gear
waiting for installation. On to next step...total time here was only about an hour. I like to sand all the wood with 220 BEFORE
assembleing anything to them so that my final paint finish will be that much nicer. This is by far the finest plywood I have ever
used in a heli , thick and strong ...the only lite ply in th entire kit is used for the cockpit bulkheads.

...
I bolt up the gear to check alingment with bottom of bulkhead, then to test fit all the piece together once, dry
with no glue. Some minor sanding is needed to make it all slip together, but some extra time spent sanding
the wood for finish and fit pays in big dividends later on. I sand the sufaces and round off any sharp edges
but leave all the glass to wood contact areas untouched to maintian maximum contact.

A quick test fit shows that everything fits great!
