Turbine NH-90
On-line support Build-up / Page 16
...
...
I added this scale duct made from a piece
of shuttle-boom , curved and contoured then supported with 1/32 ply on
the inside.
...
This is the removable tail skid mount I made
out of 5/16 brass tube and some flat brass sheet, silver soldered . A 4
mm nut is soldered to the end
to accept the 4 mm stud that is JB welded into
the carbon skid. Sheet screws secure with some JB on the inside. No plates
are used as the glass
is plenty thick and I would rather pull the screws
out in hard tail landing then rip out a large chunk of tail!
...
The skid with stud installed.
Cockpit seats are cut out then assembled with CA, I add backs to them
with scrap matierial.
...
Center station and floor ready final
painting... Dash is ready once the panel is glued in, I added upper strip
for detail.
...
What are these? antenna! Glue the two halve together,
add a wood strip and stud (old control rod) and bolt to body.
...
I will leave the cockpit detail to your own tastes...
...
We just have the servos to wire and switchs,
set-up , install gyro and servo, Batteries, etc...
and were done! We paint after we fly for a while...gotta
have some fun first! More to come!
