I use alu tube to make up the strut with the Graupner heim joints. I locktite a screw in them to give them more "tooth" for
the JB weld I will use to glue them to the tube.

Follow up with a small screw to insure it's hold.

Here it is, the final folding assembly. We need
to strengthen the fin skin now.

A brass tab is added, sand all parts and areas
to be glued here with 220. Take a look down the hole, both sides have been
fitted with form fitting pieces of wood to spread
the load. The center tab is removable for maintenance.

The base cockpit is simple matter of this assembly, more on this
after we test fly.

We add the fin cover plate here with small
wood backing tabs glued inside
to grab small wood screws..#00 size in stainless
used here.
