S.A.R.Kit/ Graupner Upgrade for NH-90 (Page 2)

......
The finish tank mount sprayed with satin black Rustoleum paint.  The tank mount brakets are made with these
brass tubes fitted as shown, make sure you sand these pieces and clean well for easy soldering. Silver solder is
used which produces a stronger joint.

......
Drill a 2mm hole for the support wire (sand that too) and then instead of installing into the tank first, gluing it up
and then bending the wire to fit the brass t-piece, I chose to solder the wire in the t-piece first then bend it into
tank position. Why? So I wouldnt have to glue the wire into the T-piece. Regular solder was used to tack the wire
at both ends of the T-piece so I would'nt blow the T-peice apart with excessive heat.

......
The wire can be still be bent and installed in the tank like the instructions indicate. Also I notched the ABS
support and beveled the top of it to fit nicer into position. A little filler and paint to finish it and then I will use
a simple 2.2mm screw to secure the tank into it's final position.

Just about done! How did I mount the tank hangers onto the body without removing just about everything?
Simple, I just made up some ABS blocks with 2mm nuts behind them for the mount points and then CA glued
them the skin. I also put some relief holes where they mounted to allow the screws some travel room. You can
then adjust the brass tubes on the Hangers to tweak the final position of the tanks if they do not sit straight. Final
painting is all the needs to be done now on the tanks and then we will have one mean looking helicopter!

All set and ready for a new look!
