PAHL GPH66,GPH66(R),GPH70 Turbine series

Pahl GP-2300 Mechanics top mount GP-1800 bottom mounted turbine also available (Click images for details)
Features include full auto start from the tranmitter and the onboard E.C.U. automates the starting ,running and shutdown of the engine.Propane is used to start the Turbine until sufficent rpm's and tempatures are met at which point the E.C.U. automatically switches over to Kerosene.

. The turbine only needs to vary slight amount of rpm's (2-4k) to maintain all flight controls during all manuevers which means the sound and turbine rpm's remain relativly constant without large flucuations to maintain rotor head speed. One of most imortant features of this system is the highly reliable and simple gear-driven tranmission which does not rely on belts or pulleys to make the power transfer. Engagement is smooth and positive without the worry and the external desgin of the gear train allows the user to inspect and service as required. A governor within the E.C.U. maintains constant rotor speed thoughout all phases of flight so there are no throttle curves to program. Most importantly the Turbine wheels are made specifically for helicopter use, not modified fixed wing designs.

Why single stage? the advantages are less parts to maintain, less heat managment problems and mostly any tendency of the main rotor to vary in RPM, as a result collective pitch changes are immediately sensed by the Turbine's goverenor which automaticaly compensates the fuel delivery to match the output to power demand thus maintaining a constant RPM. The helicopter responds exactly and efficently to the collective stick inputs without delays. Overall this mechanical connection between main rotor and Turbine gives a high level of responsive feel.

The level of qualtiy is extremely high and will provide hour after hour of flying pleasure and should the need for service arise our factory trained service department will be able to service your system here in the U.S.A. at our facility.

Why is PAHL the best choice? This system is lighter, simpler and more robust in design and makes more power at less RPM's. Also the gear train uses larger externally mounted gears for easy maintenence and inspection at a glance (no disassembly of turbine required to inspect gears!) and is fully cooled by the incoming airstream.
Optional: the micro E.D.T. for on-board installations.
