Ok, we first
use 100 grit paper to sand both the boom tube and alu-boom holder.
I use J.B. WELD to affix holder to boom , making sure to line up
pushrod relief on top.
Next we can trim some matierial off the left hand sleeve (smaller one)
using the factory
line as a guide only! It's super close.
.
. .
.
We can now add fan, remove 3 blades for
install, line up, then add one more blade for
spacing purposes. We want it tight, but not too tight . We then trim
the tail hole a bit to allow
the curvature of the drum to full seat itself into the hole (shown above
, the tail hole is slightly
larger to allow "float" and perfect alingment as a result.)

There is only a small notch on the left
hand drum, the lip step is evident here, this willl accept
the right hand drum when we install that piece. It will also need a slight
notch, but there is
a asysmetrical drum for right hand side (fully scale) so we ned to
identify which way is which
on the right hand drum BEFORE notching. Now we add 1/8 inch spacers which
are snug , then
trim the lip some more to get a good fit into the recess in the tail. I
tack it with screws then
we will glue it all up a little later on...no rush .
.
.
There
it is! a little heat in one or two spots to get it lay perfectly
and we ar done with this side, round two should be even easier!
total time to fit tail so far, 1 hour. :)

Micro fastners are used to secure pieces, make detail items and many more ideas and uses.
more
to come! much more!
