This was me...about
20 years ago! This is Steven , my son. My pride and joy holding my
pride and joy! He as well as I were astonished at the size when we pulled
her out of
her box. Worth waiting for indeed....! At this point she will get the usual
vinager bath
followed by a soapy bath taking care to get the wood inside wet!
Although it is
installed we will still need to fuel proof the wood which is probably
one of the first
things I will do, followed by mech install, tail drive, fen-fan drum
install etc... and the list
goes on... We will try to fly her in primer before paint and excessive
detail take place.
She looks so much like a dauphin-porpoise , we didnt know wether to keep
her wet
or feed her some fish! Maybe both...:)
This
is prototype model and is not recomended as a first project...
Nor
is it available for sale.
These
pages are designed to inform and teach technique.ENJOY!

This is just a spot of the detail found on this fuse... white gel coated
models
( a few ounces heavier) will show all of it right away , but it doesnt
matter as the primer
will pop the detail out with the clear gel coat. After the bath, we will
wetsand with
800 to 1200 grit paper... that is ll that is needed. Samples are included
with tips and
instructions sheet. DO NOT USE ANY COARSER PAPER THAN 800 in the wide open
areas. This clear gel coat is just as thick as the white gelcoat , BUT
we dont want to sand
the gelcoat to the point of hitting cloth, thus requireing heavy primer
to fill.
