We will be using the Graupner 3300-H fan cooled auto timing motor with the power MOS 60 speed controller
designed to run on 30 cells/36 volt. The lower amperage drain keeps the wear on the commutator minimal so
this motor can last two- three seasons before needing brushes. Performance and run time is only about 5% less
efficient in this case than a brushless set-up and toss in the fan cooling and auto-timing adjust and you have a
nice reliable package that can deliver about 8-9 minutes of strong flight time. Now about the auto-timing feature,
the motor has a floating ring (where the label is) that will find its optimum location according to load and demand
of the system! This adds a lot of efficiency and longer flight times. The fuselage we are using for this project is the
Agusta Power 109, but the Bell 230, BO-105 CBS, Jet Ranger or just a pod and boom kit can used such as the
Uni-Star 60 or Ultra Star or if you going 24 cells such as the Uni-40 Elektro, the Trainer-E can be used for
pod and boom type applications..

The 109 body has all the details from this build-up.

We will be returning shortly, servos, gyro on order and the fuselage still needs some clear to finish her off. Stay tuned!

II chose the futaba gy-240 gyro for this application, simple and easy to set-up. The speed controller mounted
using some double sided tape and some P.F.M. glue for back up. Motor installation is super easy , just line up the
upper plate on mount to be square, and use a piece of paper between gears to adjust mesh.( I ground a small flat
on one side of the shaft to accept set-screw for extra hold.)

Since the mechs arrive PRE BUILT, I check all bolts to be sure, adjust rods, etc. am using JR
super servos here and a digital super servo for tail. It is a bit overkill, but this one is gonna be flown though
some demanding maneuvers. The rotor head is up to the job as it is the same unit found on the Expert mechs series.
Also the blade grips are the same as the UNI-2000. (servo horn center to ball center is 18 mm. for cyclic servos.)

I use high quality Dean's connectors for batts and motor to controller junctions. Available from MAXX PRODUCTS.
Full auto rotation hub can be seen here in the main gear. Use grease on gears.

IMPORTANT! You must follow the directions that come with MOS 60 controller . You must add the capicitors
shown in the diagram here. There are two plates on the motor , one negative, and one positive seperated by a plastic
barrier, there is already one tiny capicitor there, here is where you will attach the capicitors. Also the diode goes here
on the plug coming the motor, make SURE the stripe in one POS terminal!

That's it! except for battery mounts and final set-up! Still waiting for body to come back
from painter so we are going to put into a pod and boom form and test soon.
I take the rotor head OFF for set-up and testing of the same just to be sure everything works
correctly. Motor is broken in on one pack only to seat comm and brushes.
