Drill out the pre-marked holes for the stab rod then install tacking into place...wetsand it first! You need to adjust
one hole to get it perfectly level and positioned. I use a piece of old pushrod or whatever tacked with thick CA
to the bulkhead to help reach when fitting. it must butt up to the carbon stab rod.

I wound up with this measurement instead of what is listed in the book when cutting opening for tail rotor. It
worked out just perfectly. I like to bevel the edges of the tailrotor bulkhead for more gluing area... here it is
just tacked into place for the moment once I have it alingment like the pic below.

The 200mm x 2mm wire helps me align the bulkhead until it is in this position. Here is the mechanic end of the
drive shaft system prepared in the proper way. (Cut the channel down to 590mm).

On this end I like to stick a 1mm allen tool between the mechs to ensure a 1mm gap, the wire is butt up against
this coupler on the mechs. The front support is carfully fitting taking care not to lift up the system... just let the
channel "hang" then bring it up to it. Later I will add a vertical cross beam to this mount to stiffen it more.
You can also see the gentle curve the driveshaft will take on...later upon final install the channel will get flooded
with epoxy "freezing" into this shape which eliminates all vibrations.

With other end butt up tight against mechs measure the distance from flange on tail rotor to bulkhead and then
cut of this amount from wire. Grind a flat only where the set-screw makes contact from the tail rotor.Page 1 Page 2 Page 3 Page 4 Page5 Page 6 Page 7 Page 8 Page9 Page 10
