Using picture wire to loom fishing line through light wire holes works well. We use these lines to pull wire through
upon installation. While I am waiting for lights I decided to work on some scale touches... .005 brass sheet soldered
to fabricate a more scale exhaust stack, I will add E.G.T. tubes next.

.......
Cockpit parts tacked to paint board waiting for paint. I made this mock scale slider hinge out of brass.

I decided to cover my seats instead of painting them. Contact cement in a spray
can and some nice cloth does the trick. Cockpit parts are sprayed black then accented
with brush on modelers paints (Testors brand). The effect is quick and simple.

......
Here you can see the seat backs done and a sneek peek at the scale floats... I did the the fronts already but
are saving them for paint to finally install them with air lines (non-functional). I use thin wall alu tubing with Graupner
3 mm foam padding covered with rain-coat matierial found at better cloth shops ( It's always funny explaining to the
cloth ladies what I am buying this stuff for! ). Extensions are made from two layers of telescoping alu tubes using
BVM epoxy after drilling out the ends of skid tubes.

Before we move onto the navigation lights installation, we will address the RC switch layout...

......
There are numerous ways to layout the rc switch(s) , this is simply one way to do it. I use two of the 3050
Graupner heavy load harness systems that take all the voltage loads for the servos off of the reciever and offer
a redundancy that is welcome. Heavy gauge wire connects the battery to this system so frying a wire under heavy
loads is just about impossible. You will notice only one charge jack hole because that is all that is needed. Wood
strips do two things, they strengthen the floor area here and raise the switch toggles to an almost flush fit on the
outer skin of the belly as seen below.

......
Counter sunk screws will be ground and filled so only the the toggles will show and here you can see just how
nice the switches are conceled without too much effort. Easy access is practical and yet it does not spoil the scale
appearance of the belly.Only about .5-1.0 mm showing. We now have redunancy and high load protection in place
with little work involved. Mounting them in this more forward position gets them away from vibration and keeps them
out of the cooling hole path and clean.
