Tail Drive installation:

.........................
The collar of two installed in the fin, the upper collar and bulkhead is shown here in the second pic. You want
to maintain about 10 mm gap between the coupler on the tail box and the end of the cable housing. The shaft
should be dead center in the tail rotor box hole in the bulkhead of the tail rotor. Slight side to side misalingment
is tolerable overall in the cable housing itself however its best to try to it as straight as possible. The intermediate
tail pitch rod comes up through the lower cutout in the tail rotor bulkhead. Once everything is tacked in place with
some drops of CA glue, you can procede with final glue up of the bulkheads. Its possible to glue up both sides
of each bulkhead (all 4). This not only offers a better bond, but serves as a mechanical trap for the pieces.
Use BVM or Hysol epoxy. DO NOT glue the tube or couplings in place, they get cross bolted with 2.5 mm
bolts ...glue only the bulkheads.

.........................
You can see the excess epoxy holding the bulkheads now painted over with black urethane paint by brush.
Neatness counts! Bulkhead is not glued at the top because is it not needed and allows room for wires for lighting.
There is no strength to be gained by connecting the top of the bulkhead, only excess unwanted tail wieght as there
is so much contact area already. Also, you can easily glue up the blind nuts at the same time from this slot. The
correct angle is most important, however if you really want to fill this area in... go ahead but they will have to be
angled pieces to do so. The bulkhead would have to be too thick to make contact here in this space and then the
tail rotor would sit too high for the tail cap. Bulkheads are 3mm+ thick super strong!

......
Just fits with tail cap clearance... this is a big gearbox! The next piece to go in is the rear retract bulkhead retainer
for the drive shaft. This is why there is a slot in this bulkhead... so you have room for final adjustments. The
third collar is bolted to the carbon bulkhead, then when the front carbon bulkhead (below) is finally in place
you can affix it with four 2.2mm wood screws to this wooden bulkhead.

......
The front drive shaft support gets the fourth collar... aling this with the shaft in place, mechs bolted down tight
and then final alingment. You can then drill the four 3mm holes through this bulkhead into the main retract bulkhead.
A 90 degree dremel attachment works well for this. Once your happy with the fit, go ahead and affix the rear support
to it's bulkhead (above). Leave enough room when fitting the alu-tube so thatyou can slide back coupler for easy
removal without having to remove the mechanics (you will have to remove the tail rotor box however). Grease
the shaft with a high quality carbon grease (available from us) and your all set to go. Use 271 locktite on the set
screws holding the coupler to the tail rotor box and mechanics, and use 603 green on the shaft going into the couplers
and their set screws. This part is now complete.
